We open the 12th door on The Essential Advent Calendar, to see three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum-selling artist Pentatonix releasing their sixth holiday album, ‘We Need A Little Christmas’.

The new holiday album features arrangements of classic and current holiday and seasonal favourites, including Ariana Grande’s ‘Santa Tell Me’, and ‘Seasons of Love’, from the Broadway musical, ‘Rent’. ‘We Need a Little Christmas’ also features the Pentatonix original ‘Thank You’, which pays homage to the loved ones who’ve made this past year just a little bit brighter, the Christmastime classic, “’White Christmas’, featuring Bing Crosby’s original vocals and a performance by the London Symphony, as well as the epic ‘Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)’, which the group released last week upon the announcement of the album. About the author

There’s a lot of music out there - good music. At Essentially Pop our remit is that we cover music that deserves to be heard, with a particular focus on independent artists. That doesn't mean we won't cover your old favourites - rather we hope to give you some new favourites as well.

We no longer accept unpaid PR agency work. We believe the creative arts have value, and this includes writing. As always, we will write about artists who contact us - or who we contact - for free - but we can no longer work free of charge for PR agencies. We work hard, we put in a lot of hours writing, and we ask that you respect that. Contact us for our very reasonable rates.
