The 3-piece pop/rock band, The UMA, have finally revealed their brand new music video for their most recent single ‘Wake Up’.
The video can be watched here:
When watching the video, we see the trio performing in front of a bright pink backdrop. During this performance, The Uma is being force-fed cake and having things thrown in their faces. This is to signify the meaning of the lyrics – the contrast feeling between the elated highs we feel and the immense lows.
The band explains that,
“’Wake Up’ is a song for any moment. Whether you’re sad, happy, angry, confused, or just having a moment, it lifts and separates you from everything that’s going on around you. Lyrically, the songs just one big emotional juxtaposition and we’ve tried to capture that throughout the video.”
Members Phil, Dan, and Ben met through work and mutual friends. Each member was bought up surrounded by music. They all have fond memories of music playing in their family homes, driving the urge to want to be in a band from a young age. It was this love for music that connected the members who eventually became “The UMA” later in life.
‘Wake Up’ is now available to stream through Spotify. You don’t want to miss out on your next favourite song! Show your support for The Uma by following their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and let them know what you think of their new video!
