Fun Facts About Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is one of the biggest stars around at this point in music history. Since the 2010’s she has risen to stardom and shown the world that she can do more than carry a great country tune.

Today we want to take a look at Taylor Swift more closely from the best Taylor Swift albums to her rise from child to star. Here are some interesting and surprising facts you may not have known about her.

  1. She loves the number 13

It is well-known in most parts of the world that the number 13 is bad luck. We have Friday the 13th as a bad luck day, and many weird superstitions around this digit. But Taylor is one of the few people who have no issues with this number and in fact like it. She was born on December 13th, she turned 13 on Friday 13th, and she has a ritual to paint the number 13 on her hand before every performance. It’s safe to say this number is working out for her so far!

  1. She loves cats

Taylor is a huge cat person, and she barely goes anywhere without her furry friends. Her cats are called Benjamin Button, Meredith Grey, and Olivia Benson.

  1. She loves the stage

When we think of Taylor Swift many of us think about a beautiful girl who used to rock the country scene before moving on to pop, but did you know she always wanted to be on Broadway? Taylor Swift used to get lessons for her vocals and she would often dream about performing on stage on Broadway. Before she was ever a country singer her passion was the stage and this may be partly the reason she recently starred in the film adaptation of Cats.

  1. She moved to Tennessee to pursue music

Taylor grew up on a Christmas tree farm in Pennsylvania, but as her passion for singing really started to evolve, her parents moved with her to Tennessee so that she could explore music.

  1. She loves Shania Twain

The country element to her music career is one of the most iconic, and at a young age she became a real star in the country music genre. You may have already guessed but she was influenced a lot by Shania Twain and this can be heard in many of her earlier pieces.

  1. She wasn’t an immediate star

Taylor Swift was trying to break into the music scene from the age of 11 and she submitted covers of Dillah Parton songs to record labels with no success. It was a ping time before she made her big break and she may never have become the star she is today if she had given up after those first attempts.

  1. She modelled for Abercrombie and Fitch

When she was young, Taylor modelled for Abercrombie and Fitch, and she wasn’t the only big star that did this when they were in their teens. Jennifer Lawrence also did the same thing and look where she is now…maybe Abercrombie and Fitch is magic.
