2019 continues to be a colossal year for Tom Walker as he shifts up another gear with the release of ‘Now You’re Gone’ featuring Zara Larsson – out now and taken from his gold-certified number 1 debut album ‘What A Time To Be Alive’. Now comes the remix by experimental-techno duo, Kiasmos.
The remix is light and airy, and is given an electronic edge from the first third onwards, which then lifts the pace, turning the track into a drum and percussion number, where Tom and Zara’s voices take a backseat to the instrumentation.
Written by Tom, along with UK songwriting powerhouse Steve Mac (Leave A Light On) and Chelcee Grimes, and the follow up to hit single ‘Just You And I’, the track pulsates, jam-packed with hooks and lyrically reflects on the theme of departure, with both Tom & Zara’s vocals the perfect match.
Going hand in hand with the album’s breathtaking success, already selling over 150,000 copies in the UK, and nearly a million globally, ‘Just You And I’ has also reaped the benefits, spending 12 weeks in the Top 10 and is now certified platinum with over 650,000 sales in the UK.
After a highly successful sold-out UK headline tour in April that brought Tom’s music to a new level of audiences, he’s taken the leap into even bigger venues with ease, embarking on UK headline tour later this year that’s already sold out, kicking off at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. He plays a run of UK & European festivals this summer including Glastonbury as well as touring the USA, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Russia.
