Released on Friday 15 March, ‘GLOW’ is the latest single from Mexico’s DJ Kuun.
The electronic single is very upbeat, prompting the listener to get up and dance. The song is about channelling the power of light; it speaks about individual lights, and how we all have control over whether they shine, or fade out. We can choose to be the light in the darkness, or alternatively, we can choose to let our light go out entirely. It’s a very relatable topic, and DJ Kuun says,
A child is hungry to shine with his own light but staying at home will not achieve it. It is time to leave home to know what it is to die of hunger, to know what it is to fail and fall, only so that when one finally shines The Light it is merit of oneself.
Drawing his inspiration from a wide range of musical talent, DJ Kuun is nonetheless clearly influenced by the electronic beat-driven sounds of artists such as Alesso, and Martin Garrix.
‘GLOW’ is the precursor to DJ Kuun’s first full length album, ‘Road To Mainstage’, which he’ll be releasing over the coming year.
