The Soft Underground – ‘Ghosts’

‘Ghosts’, from the album ‘Morning World’, is the follow-up to ‘Rachel’, from New York City based The Soft Underground.

The duo, comprising drummer Andrew McCarty and guitarist Charlie Hickey, formed in 2010 and work with guest vocalists for every song. Their sound has seen them hailed as the modern equivalents of Seattle’s 90s grunge scene.

‘Ghosts’, from their second album, ‘Morning World’, a release which took two years to record, is heavy with guitar strummed in such a way as to convey a feeling of acoustics, as well as drums and percussive elements which gently highlight the piano.

You can find out more about The Soft Underground online on their official website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Check out our article about their previous release, ‘Rachel’ here.
