Foreigner – ‘Double Vision’ And ‘Urgent’

Say “Foreigner” when you’re talking about rock music and I can guarantee you’ll instantly be humming at least one song by the legendary English-American rock band, which was founded in New York in 1976.

‘Foreigner With The 21st Century Orchestra & Chorus’ is a collaboration between guitarist and founding member Mick Jones and symphonic arrangers Dave Eggar and Chuck Palmer. Together they took the colour and dynamics of the symphony orchestra to Foreigner’s extensive back catalogue, and transformed the already dramatic songs into something even more incredible.

‘Foreigner With The 21st Century Orchestra & Chorus’ was recorded in Luzern, Switzerland in front of a live audience and also captured on video. We’ve included two videos, spanning Foreigner’s career: the hit ‘Double Vision’, from the 1978 album of the same name, and – the one we reckon you’re most likely to have thought of first – ‘Urgent’ from the incredible ‘4’ (1981).

The videos show Foreigner peforming with their typical passion, as well as the captivating orchestral players and choral singers, who can’t suppress their smiles.

Check out Foreigner on their official website for more information about the project.
