‘Rio Grande’ is the latest track from Beaux Cheveux’s debut album, ‘RO SHAM BO’, the follow up to ‘Deeper Feeling’, and ‘Free Love’. The track is funk-fuelled and very eclectic, and comes with a freaky pyschedelic video.
Duo Adrian Connor and Clementine Bonzo, aka Beaux Cheveux, are no strangers to us here at Essentially Pop, and we’ve covered their two previous releases last year. Their new song is a fine blend of analogue and digital; there’s plenty of wah-wah and we’re transported back to the 60s with the funkadelic vibe of both track and clip. Lots of neon, washed out colours in the video (including a nice use of a tesla ball), with shots of Adrian singing interlaced with spooky images in the woods – are the perfect match for the laid back vocals and soaring harmonies.
‘Rio Grande’ is the third single from ‘RO SHAM BO’ and once again showcases the musical versatility of the pair.
