Andy Michaels – ‘Revisited’

Singer songwriter Andy Michaels, from Perth, Western Australia, has been honing his eclectic style for well over a decade, and with his new album, ‘Revisited’, he has a track to suit fans of just about every genre.

Fusing adult contemporary, pop, and rock together with carefully crafted instrumentation and creative arrangements, Andy Michaels’ style cannot be confined to one particular genre. He says,
“People have compared me from Cat Stevens to Maroon 5, Coldplay, Counting Crows and even Pink Floyd. It seems I hear some new comparison every time.”
This doesn’t faze him, in fact it has the opposite effect; it keeps him on his quest to always evolve as an artist.
Of the tracks on his album, the first two releases, ‘Angel’, and ‘Where Are You Now’, are powerful and poignant ballads. Both written by Michaels, he calls on the vocal talents of UK artist, Kerrie Ironside for ‘Angel’, while ‘Where Are You Now’ is a showcase of his musicianship and song composition, in a track which crosses over from adult contemporary style, to near country.

It’s not always been plain sailing for Andy. Before he was twenty years old he was involved in a car accident, which left him temporarily incapacitated. It was this injury however which prompted him to pick up his guitar. He’s also a poet, and has been published by the International Library of Poetry in the US. Andy has performed all over Australia, as well as in Asia, including China. His music has seen radio play in his homeland, USA, UK, Canada, South Africa, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, where they’ve been syndicated to various radio stations.
