Dublin City will light up with imagination and wonder over 2 days with 4 spectacular events from 31 December 2017 until 1 January 2018. The Custom House, Dublin’s iconic landmark, will be the centre for NYF Dublin’s countdown and New Year’s Day celebrations this year.
Today, New Year’s Festival Dublin announced the ticket details for their FREE Midnight Moment countdown events taking place on New Year’s Eve and details for the 3NewYear’s Day Celebration on 1 January 2018.
For the first time ever, two spectacular Midnight Moment events will countdown to 2018 in style – Liffey Lights Midnight Moment and the family friendly Liffey Lights Midnight Moment – Matinee starting at the earlier time of 6.30pm. Watch the amazing aerial and aquatic display as acrobatic performers take to the sky and to the River Liffey. Both world-class, high-flying spectacles will be performed against the backdrop of the iconic Custom House with the River Liffey taking centre stage.

This year’s participants in New Year’s Festival Dublin can ring in 2018 at Liffey Lights Midnight Moment – a dazzling light, aerial and aquatic display, join the earlier countdown celebrations at the family friendly Liffey Lights Midnight Moment – Matinee event, celebrate with Kodaline at the 3Countdown Concert and kick-start 2018 at the with family friendly entertainment at the 3New Year’s Day Celebration.
New Year’s Festival Dublin is an initiative by Fáilte Ireland in partnership with Dublin City Council and produced and promoted by MCD Productions.

It will promote the very best of what Dublin has to offer and will undoubtedly prove a magnet for people from home and abroad. This free show, open to all, is also being performed at a matinee performance so that family and friends can come along earlier in the day to celebrate and enjoy the countdown moment.”

Watch Liffey Lights Midnight Moment in amazement as the breathtaking, high-flying spectacle of lights and acrobatics takes to the Dublin Sky on New Year’s Eve. This world-classspectacle will be performed against the backdrop of the iconic Custom House with the River Liffey taking centre stage for a dazzling lighting, aerial and aquatic display.
Prepare to be thrilled by the spectacular symphony of lights as up to to 100 aquabeams and search lights dance across the night sky, performing in time with original music created especially for the event. Watch in awe as Heliosphere’s high flying acrobats spin and spiral through the sky while attached to giant helium balloons and as FLYBOARDERS perform incredible aquatic and aerial stunts in unison across the River Liffey. This performance is not to be missed.
