Elvana – ‘Forever Is Over’

Elvana Gjata, known in her native Albania simply as Elvana, is arguably the most popular singer/songwriter in the Balkans, with a career which has been on-going since 2001. Since then the singer has released 50 singles and 2 albums.

‘Forever Is Over’ is the Albanian singer’s first English language single, and was written by Poo Bear (behind many of Justin Bieber’s hits such as ‘Company’, and ‘What Do You Mean?’) and produced by David Guetta. The duo are also responsible for Justin Bieber’s track, ‘2U’.

A moody song, ‘Forever Is Over’ sees Elvana expertly on trend. The chorus is synth-filled, and has an excellent beat drop. Her strong voice is able to pull off  any emotion she desires, with powerful vocals. Elvana’s incredible voice control resonates through all the frequencies, showcasing her evident talent.

The epic music video for “Forever is Over” allows Elvana to shine. The backdrop of the single is a post-apocalyptic world, where Elvana is seen riding across a desert landscape, on an elegant jet black horse.

The tone and visuals of the video reflect the lyrics of the song, while Elvana’s effortless vocals on ‘Forever Is Over’ fully impart the emotion of loss and longing. Backed by the upbeat elements of the production, the new single is an anthem for standing strong through hard times.

Elvana is a talented individual who deserves to become better known in the English-speaking world.

Elvana can be found on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. ‘Forever Is Over’ is available on Spotify, Deezer, iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play.
