It’s been been announced that Jedward will be part of an expert panel to judge this year’s Junior Eurovision, to be held in Valletta, Malta.
John and Edward Grimes, performing together as Jedward, have represented their home country of Ireland twice at the Eurovision Song Contest, in 2011 with their song, ‘Lipstick’, and returning the following year with ‘Waterline’. The pair finished in 8th and 19th places respectively.
For the first time ever, the competition will have an expert panel, with John and Edward – counting as one judge – joined by Mads Grimstad, of Universal Music, as well as Christer Bjorkman. Bjorkman is himself a past Eurovision contestant, singing for Sweden in 1992, but is better known these days as the producer of Sweden’s ESC selection competition, Melodifestivalen, as well as the two most recent Eurovision Song Contests to be held in Sweden – Malmö, in 2013, and this year, in Stockholm.
The event will take place on November 20. See here for further details.
