Swedish band Forger, was formed in 2015 by Victor Ahlberg on vocals and guitar, and his father Ulf on guitar. The pair combine songwriting duties, and are the two constants of the band, whose membership varies.
Forger are set to release ‘Liberation’ on October 20. What is essentially a double A side, ‘Liberation’ is from their upcoming album, ‘Are You Liberated Yet’, due out early next year. Recorded in their home studio, first track ‘I’ve Been Angry’, has echoes of both The Beatles and Oasis, while ‘Going Down To Your House’ has a vibe about the guitar playing that reminds us of both Mike Oldfield and Fleetwood Mac, while at the same time bringing to mind both Green Day and the Foo Fighters. ‘Liberation’ was produced by Ulf, who is also an acclaimed TV and film producer.
