Produced by Nashville-based Ethan Howard, singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Taylor Mack has released his debut EP, ‘Rocket & Anchor’. The five track album was released on August 15, prior to a launch party on September 10, to be held at Alley Taps, Nashville.
The EP is acoustic guitar led and is the perfect showcase for Taylor Mack’s rich deep vocals. The five tracks convey the feel of a long hot summer, where you can kick back on your guitar and shrug the weight of the world off your shoulders.
‘Feel The Summer’ features freestyling lyrics in the vein of Ed Sheeran, and the whole album would be one likely to be enjoyed by fans of Ed.
It’s been one of Taylor’s life largest life goals over the past 5 years to release an EP of his own work, over which time he’s been honing his skills as a performer, writer and artist. It’s been time well spent, as ‘Rocket & Anchor’ is a beautifully produced and executed record, with one of the highlights being the wind instruments on the track, ‘Bottomless Cups’. It’s a great album to listen to through headphones, to catch all the nuances.
‘Rocket & Anchor’ is available on iTunes. You can find Taylor Mack online on Facebook, Spotify, Soundcloud, and his official website.
