North Carolina artist Tehon is set to release, ‘Burned Alive’, an industrial-flavoured alt hip-hop track with a pop edge.Â
With a cutting edge sound while maintaining a high level of accessibility to his fans, Tehon brings a fresh perspective to hip-hop, with his raspy voice perfectly complementing his carefully crafted beats. His music comes from the heart, he’s a millennial with an old soul, who dedicates time to his craft, who’s had his fair share of hardship. A North Carolina native, Tehon moved to LA to seek his fortune, but returned after having lost his apartment. He moved into a home which then burned down, leading Tehon to contemplate his direction, and forced him to make another transition.
‘Burned Alive’ is synth laden, and edgy, spiralling drums with vivid and involving, sometimes eye-opening lyrics. It’s sad and mellow, and has a style which draws comparisons with Kanye West and Drake.
‘Burned Alive’ is a reflection of the artist who is dealing with changes in his life. It’s the first track from his EP, which Tehon is still working on. Written, performed and produced by Tehon, ‘Burned Alive’ features additional production by Nick Redding, and was mixed by Brent Kolatalo.
You can find Tehon online on his official website, Soundcloud, and Twitter.
