Recently releasing his debut acoustic EP, ‘Tales Of The Heartbreak Kid’, the Essex native describes himself as “stuck in 2007”.

The four song EP, comprising, ‘Heartbreak Kid’, ‘Girl From The Seaside’, ‘Ripple In The Water’, and ‘Best Night Of My Life’, looks at growing up, relationships, London life, and all the rest of it. The lyrics are creative and slightly humorous, such as, from ‘Girl From The Seaside’:

She tastes like Dr Pepper
I know it’s gonna last forever
I think I’m in love with the girl from the seaside
And, from ‘Best Night Of My Life’, from the point of view of a young man who fills his empty life with going out, having “fun” and having “the best night” of his life, when he knows it’s not really:
I had the best night of my life tonight (tonight tonight tonight)
I lost my wallet and my debit card but I don’t care
I got no time for regrets
Dance around to Cure songs, and smoke cigarettes

The streets are empty
The city’s gone to sleep
I pass a man who’s sleeping in the street
I’ve got to get to work, got bills to pay
I feel so empty wish I could run away
Kieron’s EP is available to download from his Bandcamp page. You can see him in concert at the O2 Academy, Islington, on March 24, The Bedford, in Balham, on April 6, and The Halfmoon in Putney on 2nd May. See here for further details.
