A YouTube phenomenon with a massive international following, London-based singer, songwriter and producer Arjun is probably the biggest UK artist you’ve never heard of.
Having signed a deal with India’s biggest record label, T-Series, Arjun is the most viewed UK Asian artist on YouTube, with 140 Million views. He also has over one million Facebook fans. Previous release, ‘I’ll Be Waiting’, received over 20 million YouTube views, hit the Number 1 spot on the Indian iTunes Chart, and spent 40 weeks in the UK Asian Download chart. He’s won awards including ‘Best Urban Act’ (in association with Mobo) at the UK Asian Music Awards, he was also shortlisted in the Top 20 Unsigned Finalists in MTV Brand New. Arjun has performed on the same line up as Chris Brown, Omarion, Tyga, Rita Ora and Professor Green in gigs across UK and Europe, including Wembley Arena.
‘Frozen’, featuring UK rapper Sway, capitalises on Arjun’s Asian popularity, combining a distinct Indian sound with Urban beats. Arjun’s sweet vocals bring to mind the likes of Zayn Malik, and it’s this market he hopes to appeal to.
