From Bromley, in London’s South East comes Josh Beech, a talented singer/songwriter whose debut solo EP ‘Fight Strong’ is due for release on 16 October. With a unique blend of folk/Americana-infused rock, and expertly arranged instrumentals providing the perfect setting for his voice, ‘Fight Strong’ is definitely going to appeal to many.
Although also an established model – Josh has campaigned for Burberry and Levi’s 501 Jeans among others – music is his one true love, and ‘Fight Strong’ was recorded in Los Angeles with Erik Kertes, taking a month to complete. With influences as diverse as Jeff Buckley, Jack White, Paul Simon and more, the EP is a a bold stretch but nonetheless very special: the lyrical themes are quite varied and relatable – telling a tale of a young man who’s experienced a lot, but is now at a stage in his life where he’s comfortable with who he is, and prepared to fight to achieve great things.
