My Cruel Goro

11295887_382761321912598_6354699280445506083_nNew three piece Brit rock/punk style band, based out of somewhere between Italy and Iceland, My Cruel Goro, make their debut self-titled EP available for free download, featuring three great indie rock songs with a bit of punk influence, to be released on August 24 2015. If you enjoy bands like Ash, Arctic Monkeys, The Fratellis, The Hives, early Libertines, Dinosaur Jr., Weezer, The Jam, The Stranglers, and The Clash then it will definitely be worth it to check out the debut EP from My Cruel Goro.

Songs on the debut EP, such as ‘Clash’, have the old school 70’s rock & roll vibe with sudden flares of punk put to a modern day production. Another song off the EP, ‘Crapford’, keeps to a modern day style of punk with consistently moving drums and driving power chord riffs. ‘Glue Buzz’ is an outstanding track that has a more free flowing 70’s jam style with many different dynamic and tempo changes which flow together seamlessly to make for a real pleasant listen.
11149365_369311756590888_1473603814840571360_nTo go along with the new My Cruel Goro EP, the band has been working with producer Massimo Scoposki to create some interesting music videos for their songs with ‘Crapford’ premiering in The Sound Of Confusion and ‘Glue Buzz’ in The Record Stache. Here is what the two had to say about My Cruel Goro:

“A terrific Janus-faced creature, with strong elements of celebrated 70s bands such as The Clash, The Stranglers, The Jam, and The Vapors on the one hand and, on the other, the raw pounding modernity as Ash, Arctic Monkeys and even Weezer“ – The Sound of Confusion

“While 70s bands may not number among their influences, their music is reeling with the raw energy and stylings of this period. No straightforward ‘sounds likes’ comparisons, but the Stranglers and early Clash come close to mind” – The Record Stache

The My Cruel Goro EP will be available for free download on MP3 or WAV on their Bandcamp and Soundcloud.  For more info about My Cruel Goro and the debut self-titled EP visit their FacebookTwitter, and YouTube.
