Often a misunderstood and overlooked genre, Shoegaze has been limited to the people who stand by and are devoted to the Shoegaze genre. With this compilation Ear to Ear Records hopes to change that by bringing this wonderful style of music to the ears of everyone and opening the door to the creative sounds of Shoegaze music.

Shoegaze is basically a sub-genre of alternative rock that was discovered in the UK in the late 80’s and pioneered by bands such as My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Swervedriver, and The Telescopes, to name a few, and got its name from the heavy use of effect pedals and the look of the performers standing still and looking down at their pedals while performing; hence the name “shoegazing”.

In recent years there has been a resurgence for this style of music which has brought an array of different bands from all over the world.  Taking advantage of this opportunity, Ear to Ear Records put together this great compilation called Revolution – The Shoegaze Revival and made it available for anyone to download for free.
