Apollo Junction – ‘II’

Apollo Junction2

Apollo Junction are a five piece indie pop band, from Leeds, formed in 2012 by members of rival bands who decided to join forces to become one supergroup.

Completely independent and working on a DIY basis, their electro/indie/guitar inspired songs and tuneful melodies have managed to secure both national radio play and media acclaim, with London’s prestigious Dublin Castle venue referring to them as ‘The best new band we have had in years!’.

Apollo Junction are now set to release an excellent new EP, “II”,  in late June.

The four tracks are led by their cracking new single ‘Blood On Hands’, a real indie pop treat, with thoughtful lyrics complemented by a very comtemporary sound.

The EP is only enhanced by the following three tracks, ‘I Woke Up’, ‘In Your Arms’, and my personal favourite, the thumpingly impressive, ‘I Could Dance With You’,

The whole EP is very well put together, with a unique upbeat sound, as the band put their own stamp on the electro/indie/pop genre.

‘II’ is due to be released at the end of this month, but you can catch the guys live at the following venues and festivals:

27th June – Apollo Festival with The Inspiral Carpets, Space and many more (York)

12th July – Oakwell Festival with The Feeling, Dodgy and many more (Birstall)

26th September – Yorfest with The Pigeon Detectives and The Sunshine Underground (York)

17th October – The Stylus, Leeds University

28th November – EdgarFest (Leicester)
