The Stone Angels are an Alternative-Rock duo from Torquay, Devon, UK.

Formed in 2009, the band has gone through many line-up changes, and now comprises original founding member Dan Hughes on Lead Vocals and Guitar, and Sam McIver, taking Drums, Bass and Keyboards. They are able to take their studio sound to the stage by way of a Roland SPD-SX, meaning fans lose nothing in live performances.

Encorporating a range of genres, including electronic music, hard rock, experimental rock and many others, The Stone Angels’ music can best be described as having a classic rock vibe with a modern twist. They have a strong following locally and in the UK, and are gaining a foothold in the US and Canada, following the release of their self-titled EP in 2012.

“The Stone Angels” album has been featured on BBC Introducing Devon, Deuce Radio Show and Amazing Radio in the UK, as well as cKut FM in Canada and the Sunset Island Music Show in Florida USA, among others. Opening in 2013 at the South West Music Awards, in Devon, they were nominated for the Best Breakthrough Act Award.

After spending time in the studio, The Stone Angels introduced their final lineup and a more defined sound, which they took on a mini UK tour this year. The band have since returned to the studio where they are working towards a full album.

The Stone Angels EP was released on 1 January 2015 and is available via iTunes and other online stores. CDs and other merchandise can be purchased from their store section of their official website.
