Court Royal Get Funky With ‘Watch Yourself’

court royal2

Court Royal are a funky four piece band who base themselves between Liverpool and London. Specialising in funk and soul-laden pop, they have been compared to such artists as Bruno Mars, Prince, Jamiroquai, Maroon 5 and George Clinton.

Court Royal are on a mission to bring Funk back to the UK and are making a great start with new single ‘Watch Yourself’. Due for release on 29th May, the track is a grooving triumph, encouraging people to work for what they believe in despite what others think of their talents. It’s a positive message in a world that’s all too negative sometimes.

A Sony producer who heard their music was so impressed that he wanted to get involved, helping to co-produce the single at Liverpool’s Motor Museum studios. The producer, who previously worked with Iggy Azalea, Lily Allen, and Britney, loved working with the band so much that he has committed to helping out on future tracks as well.

Away from the music, Court Royal are proud of the fact that two of their members work for the emergency services.  Juggling high pressure work with making top class music can’t be easy, but this band seems to manage it with both ease and style.

With their previous track ‘Can’t Get Enough’ being fast tracked onto the BBC Introducing playlist on the same night as it was uploaded, we can only see good things ahead for this funky band.

‘Watch Yourself’ by Court Royal is due for release on 29th May.
