Jemma Siles Releases Latest Single ‘Light Me Up’

Released today, ‘Light Me Up’ is the latest single from award winning singer songwriter, Jemma Siles. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, examines the battle of blame that takes place in the immediate cessation of a fight, and uses the lyrics of the song to forge contrasts between picking a fight, and letting go, allowing the listener to understand more deeply what is happening inside her head.

‘Light Me Up’ is  a gentle pop tune which makes good use of Jemma’s clever lyrical talent, with each line filled with hidden meaning. The track is a brilliant showcase of Jemma’s lush vocals, and a great introduction to an artist who has been working tirelessly the past few years, gigging at some of Melbourne’s most notable venues.

Jemma first came to the attention of the wider population with her YouTube covers, some of which to date have garnered more than 500,000 views. Not only that, but last year she won the Australian Songwriter of the Year award, in the Pop/Dance category for her debut single ‘D.A.M.N’. The contest was judged by APRA AMCOS.

Additionally you can hear Jemma’s stunning vocals in collaboration with international DJs Nervo, and Wolfpack, on their single, ‘Like Air’, which has already brought in more than 2.6 million streams on Spotify alone.

If that wasn’t enough, Jemma has also contributed her songwriting skills to two tracks of the upcoming album for Michael Paynter, most recently seen on tour with legendary Australian pop-rock band, Icehouse.
