We were contacted by Carolyn Miller the other day telling us about the cover she’d made with Mikel James. It’s a beautiful acoustic mashup of Taylor Swift’s song, ‘Wildest Dreams’, sung by Carolyn, and Justin Bieber’s ‘What Do You Mean’ (sung by Mikel), while standing on a New York street. The duo are accompanied by Alex Desalvo on guitar, and Justin Scheidling, on Cajon box drum.

Moving into traditional R&B music from his Christian gospel background, Mark J Morgan’s music comes from the influences of his life, and all the associated parts of it, including faith, family, relationships, various circumstances and trials. Mark taught himself both piano and guitar, and is a talented songwriter whose music transcends all emotions and lifestyles.

Mark J Morgan’s EP, ‘Parables Part 1’, released on 11 July, is six songs which showcase his considerable skills.

Originally from Huddersfield, Yorkshire, but now based in Peckham, South London, the singer songwriter and artist has established himself on the underground culture circuit, with his blend of dark pop, provocative performance art, and striking sculptures, which focus on identity and gender politics.
