Hands Up: Irish Band N.O.A.H Talk About Their Music, Performing, And Their New EP, ‘Echoes Of The Night’, Out Today October 1

The Covid-19 pandemic is still going, but thankfully things are starting to open up, and when it was announced that fully vaccinated people from the UK were able to travel to Ireland, I leapt at the chance, and booked some interviews to go ahead while I was over. One interview was with N.O.A.H, a trio from County Meath, who really only came together during the Covid crisis, and now, as we reach a new, “do-able” normal, are poised on the precipice of something big, at exactly the right time.

PINDER – ‘Same Mistake’

‘Same Mistake’ is an intense and rich song from start to finish. It begins strong with an intense whirlwind of wood and string instruments that continue to bellow into the rest of the song, but just as quickly as they started, they’re suddenly washed away and what’s left is PINDER’s stunning voice, surrounded by the most charming, cinematic piano run. Right when you think you have the sound figured out, it gets turned on its head with powerful guitar riffs and badass drums. The lyrics tell a story from PINDER’s pensive point of view: a story of a boy who puts his heart out to a girl who doesn’t notice. It’s a reminder not to make those same mistakes over and over again.
