From the first note of Porter Block’s ‘If You See Eulene’, it seems as if we’ve stumbled on a band from the British Invasion, but actually, despite the quarter-note chords banged out on the piano, strummed hollow-bodied electric guitar, and sweet vocal harmonies, it turns out they’re from New York City and the here and now.
