We’ve covered a lot of artists from Birmingham, Alabama recently and so we bring you another from the indie rock city which keeps on giving. MRYGLD (pronounced “marigold”) was formed this year by Brandon Snipes and Shane and Alyssa Jewell, who recruited drummer Kyle Blair and bassist James McCauley. The group has played lots of live shows locally, and have recorded their self-titled debut EP, released in June.

Starting their collaboration in 2007, they released two critically acclaimed albums, ‘Health, Wealth & Knowledge Of Self’, and ‘Scholar Warrior’ (a remix album), before eventually signing to Birmingham label, Communicating Vessels.
