Alex Woodard – ‘Halfway’

Acclaimed singer songwriter Alex Woodard is as much at home with a pen in his hand as he is when he’s standing strumming behind a guitar. A storyteller at heart whose songs are right up there with Springsteen and Mellencamp, Woodard is also a published author, so when he reaches his limit lyrically, he’s able to step in with his books, with each reinforcing the other. His latest series of essays, ‘Living Halfway’, finds its musical equivalent in his song, ‘Halfway’, a fan favourite that the artist has been singing on tour for several years now. Paired with ‘Living Halfway’, the song takes on a deeper meaning.

Tommy Vice Releases Latest Single, ‘One Night’

EDM producer Tommy Vice has released his latest single, ‘One Night’. Featuring a female vocal, the track blends old school rock (think Fleetwood Mac) with House drum beats, while the addition of a tantalising guitar solo adds a blues element to the track.

‘Fast Car’: John Grimes Of Jedward Puts His Own Stamp On The Tracy Chapman Classic With Acoustic Guitar Cover

You’ll know the song, even if you don’t know who originally sang it. A fast song about getting away from it all, ‘Fast Car’ was written by Tracy Chapman and released way back in 1988. Since then it’s been covered no fewer than 15 times, by artists such as Birdy, Boyce Avenue, Justin Bieber, Jonas Blue, Sam Smith, Passenger…the list is seemingly endless, with each the track their own flavour. And now it’s John Grimes’s turn, with his acoustic guitar cover, which he’s released as an IGTV exclusive.

Drew Sycamore’s new music feels like a culmination of everything that’s come before and to me really feels like she’s in a place where she understands her music and what she’d like it to sound like.

OBAS – ‘Hug The Streets’ ft. Rick Ross

What do Haiti, and Danbury, Connecticut have in common? Well on the surface, not a lot. But dig deeper and you’ll see both are affected by racism, inequality, and injustice. Still based in Connecticut, rapper OBAS spent part of his childhood in Haiti, and his teen years in Danbury, and in his new single, ‘Hug The Streets’, featuring Rick Ross, he talks about his experiences, and draws parallels between what at first glance would seem to be two places poles apart.

The new music video for HERSTORY’s single, ‘My Time’, makes it perfectly clear that the trio are prioritising their prime, by surrounding themselves with those people and places that are only going to build them up and set them on their onward journey.

Kam Dutchie – ‘Pain’

Kam Dutchie takes pride in his raw persona; he’s had hurt, and is honest with himself about his feelings, so in the music video for his new single, ‘Pain’, he doesn’t stray from his backstory.

Lesibu Grand – ‘Hot Glue Gun” (PLS PLS RMX)’

Lesibu Grand keep dropping videos every other month, and we just can’t get enough. The incredible new wave/punk band from Atlanta already dropped the original version of ‘Hot Glue Gun’ back in December, which was a punk anthem unlike any other with the clip showing frontwoman Tyler-Simone Molton poking fun at the people in power from inside a retro video game. Now, with the PLS PLS remixed version of ‘Hot Glue Gun’, the song takes on an EDM vibe while not losing any of its punk attitude.v
