Joshua Ray Walker Takes On The Cranberries’ ‘Linger’ With Help From Tenacious D’s Kyle Gass

When Joshua Ray Walker started working on his upcoming album ‘What Is It Even?’ – his tribute to some of his favorite female artists and songwriters, out August 4th, 2023 via Soundly Music – he didn’t expect that Tenacious D’s Kyle Gass would appear on the record. It was probably even less likely that Gass would provide a recorder solo on the track. But that’s exactly what happened on Walker’s take on The Cranberries’ certified classic. Walker’s other-worldly voice shines on the track, Adam “Ditch” Kurtz’s pedal steel adds some twang, and Gass’ recorder solo mirrors the original’s slide guitar solo. 

Kylie Minogue And ABSOLUTE. Release Remix Of ‘Padam Padam’

Kylie Minogue has continued to work hard on her music, releasing a remix of ‘Padam Padam’ with producer Jax Jones a couple weeks ago. Now, the Princess of Pop and English producer ABSOLUTE. have been working together on another remix of the worldwide hit, seeking to propel each others’ music to new heights. The resultant song is an energetic piece that has already made the rounds in Glastonbury, bringing Minogue and ABSOLUTE (Anthony McGinley) new fame in their industries.

Platinum Producer Jax Jones And Fireboy DML Release Single ‘Me & My Guitar’

On July 7th, Jax Jones and Fireboy DML released their latest single, ‘Me & My Guitar’. Both artists have been hard at work on this single – it serves as an autobiography of sorts, detailing the two artists’ lives and how they lead up to this point. The song comes with an accompanying video that helps the listener visualise Jones and Fireboy’s upbringings, and is a pleasant departure from Jones’s usual house music productions.

Indie Pop Musician Liam Barrack Releases New Song ‘Tryin’

Last week, on the 30th of June, budding indie pop musician Liam Barrack released his latest song across multiple streaming platforms. The guitarist released his first song ‘Sick Kisses’ in December last year, which ended up getting tens of thousands of streams on Spotify and other platforms – now he follows it and another song (‘Bulletproof’) up with his third song – ‘Tryin’ – available now on Spotify, SoundCloud, Apple Music and other platforms.
