Gripping Debut Single From UK Artist Diya Shanmugaraj Is ‘Bulletproof’

Taking inspiration from the likes of Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, and Billie Eilish, UK newcomer Diya Shanmugaraj makes a powerful debut with her single, ‘Bulletproof’. Still only 13 years old, Diya’s vocal range and songwriting skills would be impressive in someone twice her age, and ‘Bulletproof’ serves as a the perfect showcase to introduce her talents.

A motivational pop track, ‘Bulletproof’ speaks about facing adversity, armed with courage. Lyrics such as,

“Burning bright there’s a light

that the wanna take,

I won’t run, I won’t hide.

No I will show my face.

But I’m a fighter burning with a fire

Don’t have nothing to prove!

Cause I’ve been fighting, roaring like a lion!

Not afraid to lose

I’m bulletproof”

‘Bulletproof’, which was recorded at James North Productions, in Brisbane, Australia, is just the next step in the already long musical journey of this prodigiously talented artist. The upbeat instrumental is the perfect setting for Diya’s clear, powerful vocals, and shows just how talented the artist is, who is classically trained, and started singing at just 5 years old. Diya since then has reached Grade 6 in Classical Singing, studying with the UK’s official Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, and won the UK national “Take The Mike” competition back in 2021. Diya is already a veteran of the music industry at 13, and looks certain to have a huge career ahead of her.

‘Bulletproof’ is out now and is available to stream and download here. You can find out more about Diya Shanmugaraj and her music online on Instagram, Facebook, Spotify, and Apple Music.
