In preparation for the ‘DANCING IN THE DARK’ album release in November this year, Australian singer/songwriter Ziggy Alberts unveils a new single, ‘THE SUN & THE SEA,’ featuring Canadian singer and Juno award/winning artist Donovan Woods.
‘THE SUN & THE SEA’ is yet another dreamy release, but this one feels different. Alberts’ vocals sound even more harmonious, and instantly with the first lyric, “we want to be famous,” the listener is left intrigued. The track suggests standing for what you believe in, despite feeling like an outlaw, and everyone is indeed still figuring it out.
Ziggy Alberts talks about the collaboration with Woods:
“Everything about this collaboration has been so natural… From the first time I heard [Donovan] sing “we want to be famous”, I was blown away; it felt that this was how the song was meant to be all along.”
On top of Alberts’ discography, his impact on people’s lives is much more than a good song to put on during a bbq. He is known for his charitable work and for offering a helping hand to different communities. During the devastating flood events in Australia states, Queensland, and Northern New South Wales, Alberts released ‘The Great Divide’ and mobilised other people wanting to help via his social media platforms. He ended up raising an impressive $40,000 to aid the relief.
