Artist Webb Dalton Releases Latest Single, ‘You, the Ocean, Sand & Me’

Taking his inspiration from the likes of George Strait, Randy Travis (both of whom he’s opened for), as well as Alan Jackson, and Jimmy Buffett, singer songwriter Webb Dalton is back with his latest single, ‘You, The Ocean, Sand & Me’. The song is out now, and can be streamed and downloaded here.

Possibly the perfect country song, there’s a naughty side to the track as well, as he sings of wanting to help apply some Coppertone to a sunbather….among other things. There’s an upbeat cheeriness that will be instantly familiar to fans of Jimmy Buffett (think ‘Five O’Clock Somewhere’), and Webb slips in a reference to margaritas, as if to prove the point.

Webb’s hope with ‘You, the Ocean, Sand & Me’ is that listeners will relate to the idea of never wanting to leave those places that make us happy; that make us regret having to return to the 9 to 5 jobs and the routines that we all hate. It’s a Nashville country sound, a la Alan Jackson, but there’s plenty of Gulf Coast vibes as well, so much so that you can almost feel the sea breeze.

Webb Dalton’s music career has so far spanned more than 40 years, and in that time he’s opened the likes of Garth Brooks, George Strait, Randy Travis, George Jones, and Travis Tritt among many others. In addition to recording and performing music, Webb Dalton set up the non-profit charity, “Gulf Coast Musicians Medical Fund” back in 2018, to assist Gulf Coast musicians and songwriters financially with their medical care.
