‘We’re Off On A Holiday’ is the new single from country singer, Dave Sheriff. The track, which rewrites a previous single from 2018, is the Telford artist’s celebration of the lifting of lockdown, and its bright and easy listening mood is a reflection of that currently being felt across the UK.
If you’ve not heard of Dave Sheriff then there’s a good chance you’ve heard his music. His 1997 release, ‘Red Hot Salsa’, found its way onto many a dancefloor, and also the soundtrack of Danny Boyle’s, ‘Trainspotting 2’. Likewise, his single, ‘Waltze Of A Lifetime’ found placement in ‘The Comeback Trail’, starring Robert De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones, Morgan Freeman, Zach Braff and Emile Hirsch. His impressive catalogue of more than 600 songs, primarily in the country, and Irish genres, has found him an audience all around the world, and in pre-Covid times he has performed throughout the UK and wider Europe, as well as special events in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. Four of his albums were recorded in Nashville, including a session with the legendary Jordanaires, and a duet with Porter Wagoner, leading to a memorable live appearance at Grand Ole Opry.
