Dancehall artist, Fya Nya, is set to release his new single, ‘Sen On’, on December 11. Also featuring Whos Dxn, the track is the first from his upcoming album, due out next year.
Fya Nya’s fluid and melodic sound takes in several genres, including Dancehall, R&B, hip hop, Grime, and Afro-Fusion. The artist writes 80% of his music in his kitchen, and felt this track deserved the professional treatment, so he rented a studio in London. He started releasing musi in 2018, and has collaborated with DJ Jeremiah Asiemah from BBC 1 Xtra.
The upbeat track carries with it an international feel, while utilising the London accent of Whos Dxn to good effect. To test the vibrant energy of the track, Fya Nya played the freshly completed track in the car, and played it to people around them. The response was overwhelming, as Fya Nya explains:
“It was crazy that the vibe and energy just passed into the crowd. Was such a good feeling”
