AURORA Shares Haunting Rendition Of Frozen 2’s Hit ‘Into The Unknown’

Frozen 2’s hit song ‘Into The Unknown’ is currently trending on TikTok with users attempting to recreate the now iconic siren call ‘Ah Ah Ah Ah’. But who is the enchanting voice behind it, we hear you ask? It is no other than pop-star AURORA, who today releases her own version of ‘Into The Unknown’. AURORA performed the song alongside Idina Menzel at this year’s Academy Awards, stunning the room to silence with her spine tingling voice.

Featuring her mesmerising vocals alongside a stripped back instrumental accompaniment, AURORA puts a haunting yet uplifting twist on the Disney hit which is sure to leave listeners truly spellbound. Speaking of the track, AURORA says,

“I wanted to hear the song with a taste of me in it. So I made a version to get to know it better before performing it at The Oscars. And now I’m releasing it. Cause I want the world to taste it. Taste ‘Into The Unknown’ with a dash of AURORA all over it. Yes yes!”

Into the Unknown

Nominated for an Academy Award for ‘Best Original Song’ at the 2020 Oscars, ‘Into The Unknown’ marked AURORA’s first Hot 100 position. The track debuted at No.55 on the Billboard Hot 100, according to Nielsen Music. The track saw AURORA enter the Top 10 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart for the first time last year at No.8..

The behind-the-scenes video follows AURORA around the streets of LA for a shopping trip ahead of the ceremony, stopping to take pictures with her adoring fans (and cats), and finally putting on her custom made ‘warrior suit’, complete with a vintage charity shop crown! The unique design by her sister, fashion designer Viktoria Aksnes, was described by the Evening Standard as coming ‘straight out of Westeros’.

With her extraordinarily large fanbase of ‘Warriors’ from the depths of South America to the smaller towns and cities of Australia, and almost everywhere else besides, AURORA is a force to be reckoned with.
