Alphabeat are set to return to the UK for the first time in six years, for a headline show on June 28th at London’s Borderline venue. This announcement comes with the news that the Danish group will release four remixes of their song, ‘Shadows’, this Friday, May 24.
Speaking about the return to London, Alphabeat said,
“We can’t wait to return to one of the first live venues we ever played outside Denmark and we’re pretty excited to meet the crowd again-the crowd who welcomed us in the UK when we played the Borderline back in 2007. It saddens us to know that the Borderline is closing its doors later this year…but let’s open them one more time in the name of pop and live music. Let’s do it together and let’s have a night to remember, shall we?!”
Alphabeat made a much praised return from hiatus earlier this year with their single, ‘Shadows’, which they launched with a music video, and a featured performance at SXSW, in Austin, Texas, as well as several headline dates in their native Denmark. The single has already garnered over 2 million streams, and has reigned in the number 1 spot on Danish radio for the past five weeks.
This Friday, 24 May sees the track reimagined, with remixes released from Freemasons, Alphalove, Until Dawn, and Country Club Martini Crew.
Alpahbeat consists of Stine Bramsen (vocals), Anders SG (vocals), Anders Bønløkk (guitar/keys), Anders Reinholdt (bass), Troels Møller (drums) and Ramus Nagel (keys).
