New comedy series ‘Turn Up Charlie’, starring Idris Elba, comes to Netflix on Friday 15 March.
Also featuring as recurring guest stars, Angela Griffin, Guz Khan, Jocelyn Jee Esein, Jade Anouka, Cameron King and Dustin Demri-Burns round out the cast.
‘Turn Up Charlie’ centres on Charlie, played by Elba, a struggling DJ and eternal bachelor, who is given a final chance at success when he reluctantly becomes a “manny” to Gabby, played by Frankie Hervey, of his famous best friend. Piper Perabo and JJ Feild co-star.
‘Turn Up Charlie‘ is a co-creation by Idris Elba and Gary Reich, and the pair serve as executive producers along with Tristram Shapeero, who will also share directing duties with Matt Lipsey. Martin Joyce and Ana Garantino are co-executive producers, while the series is co-produced by Reich’s Brown Eyed Boy Productions, and Elba’s Green Door Pictures.
