The All-American Rejects Self-Titled Debut Studio LP On Vinyl October 26 – Includes Rare Demos And Bonus 7″

‘The All-American Rejects’ is the self-titled debut studio album by American rock band The All-American Rejects, originally released October 15, 2002 by Doghouse Records. It was then re-released on February 4, 2003 by Dreamworks Records.

From The All-American Rejects:

Yeah yeah yeah, it’s a few months late…Hey, most people didn’t even know about this record until it got rereleased by Dreamworks in 2003, so it’s coming up on its Sweet Sixteen!

Anyway, this is the 6th press that you’re holding in your hands. As you can see we’ve overhauled all the artwork to better coincide with the CD version most folks are familiar with. We’ve also traded ‘Cigarette Song’ for a bonus 7” with a couple little-heard demos recorded in Nick’s old bedroom in Stillwater, OK.

Thanks to all of you guys that have stuck with us all these years. The fact that this record still means so much to so many people is something no one could have anticipated. We’ve tried to make this package something special not as a self-congratulatory thing, but as a thanks to you guys for keeping it alive in your minds. We still play a lot of these songs often and hope you’ll come see us still playing them in 15 more years. But, fuck… We’ll all be so old!  ~ All American Rejects

Four years ago, the charity initiative ’Ten Bands One Cause’ began with a diverse array of artists releasing 10 albums in limited quantities on pink vinyl with the goal of raising awareness for Gilda’s Club NYC, a charity that provides free support for everyone living with cancer along with their families and friends.

The ‘Ten Bands One Cause’ programme, which includes notable past participants Run The Jewels, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, The Black Keys, and Anthrax, coincides with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Since 2014, nearly $200,000 has been raised for Gilda’s Club NYC.

Starting on ‘Vinyl Tuesday’, September 25th and running through to October 26th, The Orchard will release a fifth annual run of pink vinyl, featuring titles by Silversun Pickups, Modest Mouse, Local Natives, Black Moth Super Rainbow, EL-P, Tyler Childers, Soccer Mommy, Daryl Hall & John Oates, The All-American Rejects and The Rocky Horror Picture Show Soundtrack. These limited releases will be available for purchase at vinyl-selling music retailers nationwide, and proceeds benefit Gilda’s Club NYC.
