Singer songwriter and social media phenomenon Samantha Harvey is certainly taking 2018 by storm. After topping the iTunes pre-order chart and shooting straight in at #2 on the iTunes singles chart, Samantha returns today with the release of her major-label debut EP ‘Please’. The EP is out via Virgin EMI Records in the UK and Capitol Records in the USA.
The five-track EP was produced by Red Triangle and features the lead track ‘Please’, ‘Happy And You Know It’, ‘When It Comes Down’ (written by Stephen Feigenbaum, known for his work with Kanye West and Alessia Cara), and ‘Never Dance Again’, as well as a special acoustic version of ‘Please’. On ‘Never Dance Again’, Samantha worked with Grammy and Emmy winning songwriter Diane Warren who has written for the likes of Beyonce, Whitney Houston and Christina Aguilera.

‘Please‘, about the yearning to reignite a lost love, follows in the footsteps of Samantha’s self-released ‘Forgive Forget‘, which debuted in the Top 3 of the iTunes chart last summer. ‘Please’ has already been added to some of Spotify’s biggest playlists including New Music Friday, The Pop List and Happy Pop Hits, and has also been added to the Breaking Pop playlist on Apple Music, and the Hot Singles & Pop Right Now playlists on Amazon Music.
To coincide with the launch of her EP, Samantha is starring in AwesomenessTV’s ‘Samantha Harvey: Released’, a 4-part docu series that charts her journey from Suffolk country girl and YouTube star to a transatlantic recording artist. The series takes in her life at home with her family, at work in London, on set of her music video shoot and culminates with her latest trip to Los Angeles to meet her producers. Watch it here:

Samantha has picked up a phenomenal following on social media with over 127 million views on her Youtube channel as well as more than 1.27 million subscribers. Samantha, while working as a cleaner in her hometown in Suffolk, began uploading covers of her performing her favourite tracks and it grew exponentially from there. Her take on ‘Stay With Me’ by Sam Smith, and Ed Sheeran’s, ‘Thinking Out Loud’ received views in the hundreds of thousands within weeks, and her cover of Charlie Puth’s, ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ is currently at 12 million views.
Not just a big name on YouTube, Samantha also has over 2.1 million likes on Facebook, 230k followers on Instagram and 146,000 monthly listeners on her Spotify.
