John Hickman – ‘Hello Hello’

Born and raised in Dallas Texas, John Hickman retired from his job as an Aerospace Engineer and moved with his wife to Maui, Hawaii. Back in the 2000s John’s wife bought him a guitar, and suddenly it was as if a musical match was lit in his mind – and a musical transformation began.

John released a series of singles from his album, ‘Remnants’, which he cut at London Bridge Studios, in Seattle, Washington, where they were mixed and engineered by Jonathan Plum, and mastered by Geoff Ott. ‘Remnants’ is a contagious and musically assorted album of twelve tracks, featuring John’s vocals on all songs, and keys on all but two.

‘Hello Hello’ features a video which tells the story of a woman and a man, who embark on a journey where they experience all the beauty the world has to offer them – one moment at a time. The clip combines sketches and real life footage shot in and around Greenwich, in London, England. The final effect evokes memories of A-ha’s video for ‘Take On Me’. The video was conceived by director Liam Morgan, and presents a positive message, backed by classic rock, indie stylings. The track can be downloaded from iTunes and streamed on Spotify.
