B*Witched, from Ireland, were an immediate success when they stormed the charts with their debut single, ‘C’est La Vie’, back in 1998. The song hit number one in the charts, making them the youngest ever all-girl group to do so. They followed this up with three succcessive Number 1s – ‘Rollercoaster’, ‘To You I Belong’, and ‘Blame It On The Weatherman’, as well as many top 20 singles.
Comprising twin sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou, and Sinéad O’Carroll, B*Witched released two albums and an EP between 1998 and 2000 before being let go by their label, and splitting in 2002. They reformed in 2013 for the ITV reality TV show, ‘The Big Reunion’, and since then have continued to perform together. The group released an EP, ‘Champagne or Guinness’, through Pledge Music in late 2014.
Now they’ve have released a 2 CD set, ‘C’est La Vie – The Collection’, containing all their hit songs as well as several special mixes, B sides, and two tracks from ‘Champagne or Guinness’ – ‘The Stars Are Ours’ and the title track. With 36 tracks in total, there’s bound to be something for everyone!
The album will be released on CD via Amazon this Friday, February 12, and is available to preorder.
