TayTay has released a new video!

And as the proud fangirl that I am I watched it. Honestly? After all the buildup with all the celeb-co-starts I was expecting a bit more..

Firstly, what’s up with the remix? Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the song, I love the whole 1989 album, but I am not a big fan of the remix, sozzols. I was expecting more action than just TayTay walking through, what I imagine is a training facility for kick-ass spies/murderers/you-know-what-I-mean. It feels a bit like she’s just showing off all of her celeb-friends and there’s not a lot of actual things happening. And what’s up with that fire thingy? Is there a point to her holding that? I feel like it was going to explode at any second and like blow her hand off, TayTay, please be careful, fire is not a toy..

I do like the whole thing with all of the celebs in it. I mean come on, that’s a great cast for a music video! Cara Deleving, Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, Cindy Crawford, Ellen Pompeo, Jessica Alba, Karlie Kloss, Ellie Goulding, Zendaya and many more! Everyone has to admit that’s a killer cast! The other thing that I like is the fact that all these celebs lip-sing some of the lyrics, which I thought was cool and gave like an edge or whatever to the video. Still love the “bandaids don’t fix bullet holes, you’ll say sorry just for show” bit, killer lyrics! The thing I like about the remix, and it’s probably the only thing I like about the remix, is the “if you love like that, blood runs cold” bit, again, killer lyrics!

My absolute favourite part has to be when they’re off to the “big fight” and there’s this part of the song when she says “look what you’ve done” in a backing track sort of, and I like that, I think that was on point! It’s like a “B*ch I’mma kill you!” sort of thing and I find it hilarious!

Anyway, that’s my personal opinion of the video. What do you think?
