Introducing: Penrose

Penrose

Back in 2013 Irish musician Darragh McGrane started Penrose as a two person acoustic act. This quickly built up hype, as the band performed at Dublin venues such as Sweeeney’s and The Mercantile, as well as through appearances on Balcony TV and Radio Nova.

Over the past two years, the band has grown and supported others such as The Mighty Stef and The Statics. Penrose also gigged at The Cuckoo’s Nest with Paddy Casey, an event which was well-received by those in the media that night.

Penrose spent the following year gigging around Dublin, and after a few line-up changes have released their debut EP, which they recorded in January this year. ‘Live For The Dream’ is a great first release from a band that can be described as a solid Indie Rock/Pop band.

Penrose’s current line up includes Caolan Fitzsimons on Rhythm Guitar, Bassist Mark Bolger and Drummer Alan Byrne joining Darragh McGrane on Vox and Guitar.

You can find Penrose online on their website, on Twitter, Facebook, SoundCloud and YouTube. Live For the Dream is available on iTunes.
