Former Noah and The Whale Guitarist Announces Debut Solo Album

Former Noah and The Whale Guitarist, Fred Abbott, is set to release his debut solo album, which he has entitled, ‘Serious Poke’.

Fred joined Noah and The Whale in 2009 and they went on to huge success, with him contributing to the 2011 Platinum-selling and highly acclaimed, ‘Last Night’.

‘Serious Poke’ is co-produced by Fred himself, along with Martin Hollis, whose diverse credits include Grinderman, The Rolling Stones and Take That, and sees the talented multi-instrumentalist and songwriter backed by his former Noah And The Whale bandmates.

He is quoted as saying:

“If you attended a Noah And The Whale soundcheck at any time in the last five years then you probably heard me, Urby, Mike and Tom jamming some of these songs. Last year while the band was on hiatus I took the opportunity to record them properly, with the boys from NATW and some other talented friends. Now that Noah has officially split the time seems right to put this stuff out there. Enjoy!”.

‘Serious Poke’ by Fred Abbot will be available on 20th July. In the meantime you can obtain a free download of his excellent pop-rock gem, ‘Funny How Good It Feels’  now from Soundcloud.
