It’s A Fight To The Death On Dollymount Strand With Not Monsters’ New Single, ‘Sharpshooter’

not-monsters-1

You’ll remember Not Monsters, the Dublin alt rock band who came together when Nöel Duplaa, of CFIT, joined forces with three members of Punch Face Champions, Dave Newell, Des Hickey, and Jakub Was. Back in May the quartet released their debut track, ‘On Tilt’, which we talked about here.

Not Monsters are known for their love of, in their words, “highbrow, complex social satire”, and have accompanied the release of their latest song, ‘Sharpshooter’, with a great video, their interpretation of how the US Elections would pan out – if in reality it wasn’t a fight for presidency of a rather powerful country, but rather a fight to the death on Dublin’s Dollymount Strand.

Not Monsters - Sharpshooter

The video is quite humorous, with “Hillary” and “Donald” getting all hot and sandy on Dublin’s famous beach, and Donald shown to be a bit of a bully in the beginning, when he knocks over a girl’s sand castle for no good reason and then throws money about. You’ll have to watch to see who wins, but we think we know which way Not Monsters hope it will go…

You can find out more about Not Monsters on their official website, Twitter, and Facebook.

‘Sharpshooter’ is available from the band’s Bandcamp page. Check it out here.
