You’ll remember our previous piece on Jon Patrick Walker, the actor and singer, who’s just finished a run of the musical, ‘Hamilton’, which saw him performing the role of King George III. Not one to rest on his laurels, Walker returns with the gorgeous song, ‘Like A Rose’, which comes from his upcoming album, ‘Welcome To The Edge Times’, set for release on October 25.
Earthquake Lights, from New York City, put a different spin on modern rock, with their love of both heavy guitars and softer tones, and inspirations including the likes of Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Beck, and The Who. Their debut album, ‘Distress Signals’, is out early next year and was recorded first at Douglass Recording, Brooklyn, and then Abbey Road Studios, London.
The Kooks have released their much awaited fifth studio album, ‘Let’s Go Sunshine’, via Lonely Cat/AWAL Recordings. The album coincides with a new video for ‘Four Leaf Clover’, which has been directed by Sophia + Robert, from Odelay Films, best known for their work with Kara Marni, and Grace Carter.
Hailing from Rochester, New York State, but now based in Brooklyn, New York City, Earthquake Lights take their band name from the nebulous lights which appear in the sky after an earthquake occurs. Their debut album, ‘Distress Signals’, was recorded at London’s famous Abbey Road Studios, and is set for release early next year. ‘The Fix’ previously released as a single, comes with an intimate band’s eye view video.
