Is this a 10cc reunion? Well, sort of…. Former band member and legendary director Kevin Godley has created 2 new videos for Graham Gouldman’s touring version of 10cc. This is not the first time the two founding band members have collaborated. Godley and Gouldman created some fascinating new music back in 2006 under the guise GG/06, in which the track used for one of the videos “Son of Man” was created.
Nashville pop singer songwriter C. Shirock’s debut music video, for his track, ‘Confess Your Love’, sees him take to Tulum, a small town on the Yucatan Peninsula, in Mexico. The clip, shot with director Joey Ciccoline, sees him chasing a beautiful woman through the streets, played by Mexican model and actress, Nohemí Hermosillo.
Les Stroud is probably best known to people from his hit TV show, ‘Survivorman’, which aired on Discovery Channel, and Science Channel. His love for the environment is never in doubt on his show, and he takes this commitment to his music as well, in his latest single, ‘How Long’. The song is accompanied by a video which, assisted by filmmaker, painter, and illustrator Matt Mahurin, sees Stroud issue a challenge to viewers to wake up and take action, before it’s too late.
When she was growing up in Nigeria, Charity Ekeke saved up all her money to buy a Record Song Book, once every six months. With these she learned songs from The Beatles, Nat King Cole, Cliff Richard, and so on.
Since that time she’s moved to the California, and has poured all the knowledge she gained from learning these songs into her music, and has now released her debut album, ‘She’.
Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls drummer Nigel Powell is moving centre stage to tour the latest album by his Sad Song Co. solo project.
Multi-instrumentalist Powell, who’s also sticksman with Oxford’s Dive Dive, will be showcasing SSC’s upcoming album in amber. Matt Catchpole had the chance to chat with Nigel.
