Justina Valentine – ‘Lucky You’

We’ve been writing about Justina Valentine for years now, from the Eastern-vibed hip-hop of ‘Suga Daddy’, back in 2016, to July this year, with her singles, ‘Hide & Seek’, and ‘Just Spit It’. The flame-haired singer, who’s also found fame on TV, as a regular cast member of the hit MTV show ‘Wild ‘N Out’, as well as an MTV fan favourite with appearances on ‘TRL’, ‘How Far is Tattoo Far’, and ‘Revenge Prank’, plus hosting reunions for ‘The Challenge’, ‘Jersey Shore’, and ‘Ex on the Beach’. Papi Shiitake is the brainchild of Young Tuxx, best known as the frontman of Brooklyn band, Best Behaviour. The project sees him collaborating and co-writing with his long time friend,  Ryan Sieloff. The pair unite the East and West coasts of the USA, and incorporate their distinct styles, with Sieloff’s 60s-inspired dreamscapes, and Young Tuxx’s tales of optimistic loneliness. Together they create an alt-surf frock world which comes unfiltered from their creative minds.

Lauren Hulbert – ‘Gone In One’

Lauren Hulbert, from Oakland, California, has been keeping her audiences spellbound for years now, with her enchanting combination of folk, alterative country-rock, and atmospheric semi-acoustic pop. Her folk arrangements are raw and real, drawing attention to her thoughtful lyrics, carefully considered melodies, and her stunning vocals. Lauren’s latest single, ‘Gone In One’, follows on from her 2017 release, ‘Beneath The Soil’, and comes ahead of her new album, ‘Superbloom’. On top of all that, the track is accompanied by her first proper music video.
