Katie Melua’s ‘Ultimate Collection’ Is Everything You Expect And Then Some

‘Ultimate Collection’ commemorates the 15 years since Katie Melua released her debut album, ‘Call Off The Search’, which topped the charts and set her on course to become the best selling female artist in the UK and Europe of 2006. The album contains 30 songs from her 7 studio albums, as well as her cover of ‘Fields Of Gold’, which she recorded in 2017 as the Children In Need single, and two brand new recordings – ‘Diamonds Are Forever’, synonymous with Shirley Bassey and James Bond; and the Simon and Garfunkel classic, ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’.

The APX – ‘Right On Time’

Atlanta’s Dee and Erika Rhodes recently joined forces after making music separately for years, and launched The APX after a successful private event known as “The After Party Experience”. The husband and wife duo describe their sound as “a galactic funky atmosphere, using synths, sax, and vocals”, and released their debut single ‘Capture The Moment’, in January 2016, to test the waters. The response was pleasing, and so they released their debut EP, ‘Electrik Funk’ in July 2017 on Sleepers Records and Neon Fingers Records. Their latest single, ‘Right On Time’, is an everday feel-good love song, is an Ashford and Simpson style track with powerful vocals and a strong backbeat. Special mention must also go to the use of keytars by both Dee and Erika!

Aaron Robinson – ‘365 (Confess His Name)’

From the outside, Aaron Robinson may seem like one of thousands of Hip Hop artists in the bustling and vast Atlanta, GA music scene. But if you take a closer look inside, you’re sure to find that Aaron Robinson is above all, a man with a mission to spread the word of the Lord to an underprivileged, broken-hearted, and corrupted youth. His new single, ‘365 (Confess His Name)’ promotes his original brand of Gospel-Rap, while preaching his message of enlightenment to the lives of an unguided generation.
